'GROW A GREAT SCHOOL' PROJECT
One area of Community and Service that many classes are involved in is the “Grow a Great School” project. Students have been learning how to measure and calculate area to work out the number of plants needed to re-generate the indigenous plants of Salisbury North. On August 19 we launched our “Grow a Great School” project with an assembly and tree planting ceremony. We were fortunate to have MP Trish White, the local member for Taylor, attend the assembly and plant a Wattle in one of the plots, which was being rejuvenated. Trish commented on how well our students behaved and that she was impressed by the amount they knew about biodiversity.
